President
Martin Francis
Martin has been a member of the club for over 30 years, serving as Captain in 2013. He came up to North Wales, as a result of his work with the Prudential, from Shropshire via a brief spell in The Wirral. He is married to Linda, who is an active member of the Ladies section, and has 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren. We are sure he will be a brilliant Ambassador for Abergele Golf Club.

Shirley Clayton
Shirley has been a member for 33 years. She is an active member of our ladies’ section, always ready to lend her support to her fellow members. Shirley co-organises our Whist club during the Winter season. It’s evident that she is community-focused, as she also participates in the Crown Green Bowling. We are confident that Shirley will represent the club with excellence and pride.

Lindsay Fisher
Lindsay joined Abergele Golf Club in the late 60’s when it was affectionally known as Abergele & Pensarn Golf Club, a nine-hole course based just off Sea Road. Lindsay’s association with the club now spans five decades and in that time, he has seen the golf club move location to where we are now, to become one of the premier courses on the North Wales coast. We hope he enjoys his time in office
Lady Captain
Lynne Horsley
Lynne has been an active member for 16 years, despite being a hard-working local schoolteacher. Living locally in Old Colwyn, Lynne loves the outdoors and enjoys walking her dog in her free time. During her term, she is dedicated to helping promote Abergele Golf Club, as well as fundraising for the North Wales Air Ambulance. We hope she enjoys her time in office.
Junior Captain
Charlie McKinney
Charlie has been a member here at Abergele Golf Club for 11 years. In 2019, Charlie was a member of the Wales Golf High Performance Programme. He is a very keen sportsman and a rising young golf star, playing in 10 golf tournaments this year across Europe. We are sure that Charlie will be a brilliant role model for our Juniors.
