Stuart Runcie
Stuart is the Head PGA Fellow Professional (TPI Level 3 Certified) here at Abergele Golf Club. He took over this role in 2018 from his dad, Iain Runcie.
Every day, Stuart dedicates his time and energy to coaching professionals, top amateurs, and recreational golfers. He has a keen interest in the development of junior golfers in North Wales and is head of our Junior Golf programme here at Abergele Golf Club with over 80 Juniors attending weekly.
Stuart has been involved with the club since he was 2 years old (wow!) and remembers becoming a playing member when he was 7. He has been a part of our Club history ever since he was a Junior and can remember going through a test on the course before he could become a member here at Abergele Golf Club! How times have changed.
As a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Level 3 Golf Instructor, Stuart can add another dimension to your golf performance. Through physical screening to identify your strengths and weaknesses, he can provide an accurate diagnosis and personalised plan to achieve your goals.
He is also a fully qualified Trackman Certified Level 2 Professional. With Trackman 4 (dual radar technology and state-of-the-art software) and Boditrak Pressure Mats Stuart can coach his philosophy with fact-based confidence.

Adam Runcie
Adam is our Assistant PGA Professional and is currently in his second year of his of his PGA Professional training. He has been a teaching professional since 2019 here at Abergele Golf Club.
Adam has been playing golf ever since he could walk. At the age of 7, he became a junior member at Abergele Golf Club and has been with us ever since!
Throughout his time playing golf, he has represented Wales at both junior and men’s levels, as well as representing Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
He has had an exceptional career in playing golf to a very high standard. His greatest achievement is winning EuroPro in 2016! He has also won an impressive 8 professional competitions throughout his playing years.
Adam dedicates his time and energy to help all golfers of different abilities to improve their game. Since working as a teaching professional here at Abergele Golf Club, he leads our new to-golf programme and has a keen interest in the development of newbie golfers. He can give detailed one-to-one coaching on specifics from driving and long game, to irons, short game and putting.
He is a fully qualified Trackman Certified Level 2 Professional. Like Stuart, Adam can use Trackman 4 to coach his philosophy with fact-based confidence and you can book a one-to-one lesson with him in the Teaching Studio.
