Abergele Golf Club’s Megan Harris Wins ‘Young Person in Tourism and Hospitality’ Award

Megan Harris, our Marketing Manager, has won the prestigious ‘Young Person in Tourism and Hospitality’ award at the Go North Wales Tourism Awards 2023. The award was sponsored by Coleg Llandrillo Menai and recognizes the exceptional contribution made by young people in the business and tourism industry in North Wales.

Megan, who is under 30, has been setting the pace in our business and has made a significant impact on the growth of Abergele Golf Club. She has been instrumental in promoting the club’s facilities to a wider audience, resulting in increased membership and visitor numbers. Megan’s creativity and dedication have been a driving force behind the success of the club’s marketing efforts.

Our marketing team, consisting of Iain Runcie and Megan Harris, also came runners up in the ‘Marketing and Recognition Award’ category. The recognition is a testament to the team’s hard work and innovative marketing strategies that have helped position Abergele Golf Club as a premier destination for golf enthusiasts.

The Go North Wales Tourism Awards is an annual event organized by North Wales Tourism that celebrates the dedication, skill, and achievements of the region’s tourism and hospitality industry. This year’s ceremony was held at Venue Cymru in Llandudno and was hosted by ITV Wales journalist Carole Green. The event was a glittering affair filled with brilliant entertainment from the North Wales Boys Choir, delicious food, and laughter all around.
