Abergele Golf Club Raises Over £10,000 for St Kentigern’s Hospice

Our club raised an impressive £10, 761 for St Kentigern’s Hospice through a charity golf day on Friday 29th September 2023.
The annual event, ran by volunteer Jonny Percy-Hughes, saw local businesses, Abergele Golf Club members and visitors take part in a fun golf team fundraiser.
Congratulations to the winning team Cobra Electrics. The team, comprised of Andy Bales, Andy Williams-Owen, Dewi Davies and Matt Lindquist, were victorious with 85 points on countback. They were closely followed by The Village People Jason Jones, Steffan Hughes, Bryn Hughes and Shaun Watkins with 85 points. In third place was The Birdie Patrol with members Howard Farral, David Hughes, Steve Owens and Alan Goodwin gaining a respectable 84 points.
The golf event also ran a Nearest the Pin competition on the day. Congratulations to Clive Howard on the 5th and Howard Farrall on the 13th.
Our Marketing Manager said: “We are thrilled to have raised such a significant amount for St Kentigern’s Hospice. It was a fantastic day, with everyone coming together to support such an important local cause.”
