For the past week we have encountered an increase in leather jacket activity, a leather jacket is the larvae of a crane fly. Each fly can lay up to 400 eggs, they typically lay their eggs in manicured areas as they have a food source to survive the winter. Bar and Restaurant Opening Hours From 17 May 2021

As you are all probably aware, we will be able to open the Bar and Restaurant indoors with effect from Monday 17 May. The ‘core’ hours for the Bar and Restaurant will be as follows: Bar Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 11.30am – 6pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11.30am – 9pm Sunday 12 Noon – 6pm Restaurant Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10am – 5pm Friday 10am – 7.30pm Saturday, Sunday 10am – 4pm (Sunday Lunch 12 Noon – 2.30pm) On Saturday, filled Baguettes will be available for sale at the Bar after 4pm. It will take place from Thursday 13th May Entry fee is £2.50 and this must be paid in the pro shop prior to playing, you will receive your card then as well. Clwyd Shield

Today our Abergele seniors played in the Clwyd Shield against Prestatyn Golf Club, Rhuddlan Golf Club, and Denbigh Golf Club. Everyone had a great day taking part in the competition, despite the rainy weather! Congratulations to Neville Edeen who had the best individual score of 40 and our Chairman, Mick Norwood, who had the second-best score of 39! We also managed to retain the trophy! Thank you to all those who took part, especially our visitors. We hope that you enjoyed yourselves here at Abergele Golf Club.
