A ball may be declared unplayable at any time, except when in a penalty area (in a penalty area the relief options of Rule 17 apply). Three options all with one penalty shot: • Stroke and distance – replay shot from original spot using the drop relief area • Back-on-line relief – using ball position and the hole as reference points, go back as far as you like. The last few months Adam has been working on gaining his Trackman qualification which he completed last week. A big well done to Adam who is now a Level 2 Certified Trackman Instructor! Over the next couple of weeks, he will putting the theory he has learnt into practice, so keep an eye out for when trackman lessons are available with him, or email email@example.com to check Adam’s availability for December.
Although 15 people can now meet indoors for organised activities, Wales Golf have advised that this does not include committee meetings in golf clubs, which should continue to be held remotely. The directors are currently reviewing this advice and an update will follow shortly. Members are reminded of the Welsh First Minister`s statement, that members of the public should be considering what they should do rather than what they can do.
