2022 saw us awarded with ‘Most Scenic Golf Course – North Wales’ which was a special moment for us all. In addition, we were nominated for Diversity Club of the Year, Golf Club of the Year and Social Media Club of the Year by the Club Awards.
That’s not all of the successes we have had this year! Our ladies Laird Team won the Laird final against St Melyd, our very own Adam won Cheshire and North Wales Open with a score of 68 (-4), Stuart was awarded designation of PGA Fellow Professional, Lea-Anne Bramwell won an LET 2023 card, our Scratch Team reached the final in Cardigan for the Welsh Team Championships and many more.
This year, we saw several members gain a hole-in-one including Alan Foulkes, Martin Thomas and Mick Norwood. Congratulations to you all.
In October, we managed to launch our brand-new branding video with the help of Follow Films. We all had a great time making this video and are very proud of the finished results. Keep an eye out for more videos in 2023.
The end of December saw the launch of this new website – a joint venture with OES that started in late July. We were very happy with the design, layout and the content, and look forward to continuing to improve our site.
This past year wouldn’t have been a success without the backing from our members, volunteers and visitors. So, we thank you for all of your support. Your loyalty to us means more and more with every passing year.
Happy New Year from all of us at Abergele Golf Club! Bring it on 2023 – Let’s hit the ground running and have another exceptional year!
