Course Update 26th March 2021

The greens are improving daily and it won’t be long before we will be able to lower the height of cut and increase the speed of the greens. The volume of pitch marks on the greens is quite concerning, considering the course has only been opened to members only for 13 days. I can’t stress the importance of taking 30 seconds to repair your pitch mark. They create an uneven playing surface, look unsightly and the stress caused to the grass can encourage disease. As the politest request can you please make the effort to repair your pitch mark and if you could go one further and repair one more, the greens will quickly improve. This is your course and we all want to be proud of the condition of the course.

The course is looking very good for the time of the year and won’t be long before all the wet areas have dried up. As the course is wet and overnight rain is predicted we have decided to restrict buggies to 11 HOLES ONLY and they must be driven in the ROUGH ONLY and no nearer than 10 metres from the green. PLEASE ADHERE TO THIS.

During these unsettled weather conditions buggy availability will only be announced on the day via twitter and by dialling the club and using option 5 for the latest course update. Please do not contact the course staff for up-dates.

We will soon turf the left hand side fairway bunker on the 3rd; We have deemed the bunker surplus to requirements as its seldomly used and the maintenance costs outweigh the benefit of the bunker.
